What's Next?

This project has been enjoying years of weeks of Gathering in our WISDOM CIRCLE, helping each other to practice hearing and sharing our thoughts, feelings and experiences regarding a weekly theme or “seed”. The theme of the week has been randomly chosen the previous week from amongst a marvelous spectrum of themes in the glass Vessel Of Themes, the central altar element in the center of our circle. The themes are added to the vessel anonymously by whoever has an idea they feel needs examining.

 

The session begins with a poetic presentation of the week’s theme, from which we enter a 10 minute silent meditation, and then we open the circle by passing a globe of sacred earth elements while each person says their name and something they feel about the theme. After that we dance and move our bodies for 2 minutes, and then launch into the interplay, passing the microphone around the circle to share what comes up for each of us. Always surprises!

 

We get to hear what others feel and think and remember, inspiring each other to kindle the flames of our memories and beliefs, practicing to listen and allow whatever may arise, we learn to share without fear of judgement or loss of connection.

 

We have enjoyed experimenting with numerous formats and activities, all geared towards practicing cooperation, sharing, hearing alternative points of view, loving each other, entertaining a variety of perspectives on our lives and world.

 

Now some of our group are wondering if the project has approached it’s conclusion, and this week we will consider this as the Theme.
